Infosys and ATP Partnership Nets Five Awards In 2016

The ATP and Infosys were awarded five marketing and innovation awards following the launch of a successful strategic technology partnership. Infosys leveraged the capabilities of the Infosys Information Platform (IIP) to create content such as Beyond the Numbers, a unique analytics series that deep dives into player performance and the ATP Stats LEADERBOARDS, a new statistical way to measure the best performing ATP World Tour players released earlier in the year.

ATP is the winner in the Next-gen Customer Experience category at SuperNova Award, 2016

Murray Swartzberg and his team won the SuperNova Award for revolutionizing how tennis analysts and fans receive statistics about professional tennis. ATP partnered with Infosys to produce ATP Leaderboards – an application that provides statistical metrics about the best performing players in the form of insights. The project is based on real time, in-memory paradigm that is aligned with Infosys Information Platform Tooling and Apache Spark.

IIP is enabling a better player performance metrics for the ATP

An Infosys-ATP ‘Beyond The Numbers’ analysis reveals a hidden element of the sport that we have never grasped fully. The Infosys Information Platform (IIP) uncovered that every single player in the Top 10 list has played more return than serve points since the beginning of the 2015 season! This massive data set caters to past 20 months and contains 1,143,932 points.

Infosys and ATP won the 2016 Aecus Innovation Award
